C.J. Chance Named Principal & VP at Hussey Gay Bell

Hussey Gay Bell announces Mr. C.J. Chance, Jr., PE, as a Principal and Officer of the firm, which was founded in 1958 in Savannah.

An employee of Hussey Gay Bell since 2005, Mr. Chance has more than 10 years of experience specializing in municipal, institutional, residential and industrial-related civil/site development and water/wastewater infrastructure design. He has expertise in the design, planning, permitting and project management of projects for clients throughout Georgia and South Carolina including the City of Statesboro, Garden City, Bryan County, City of Richmond Hill, Bulloch and Effingham Counties, Georgia Southern University and the Town of Bluffton.  Additionally, Mr. Chance is responsible for overseeing the majority of industrial and economic-related developments for Hussey Gay Bell in the State of Georgia.

Mr. Chance is currently leading Hussey Gay Bell's continued civil design efforts for the WaterWays Township development - Fletcher Management's 2,300-acre residential development in southern Bryan County.  Other career projects of note include:  Pooler's Savannah Quarters, Georgia Southern University's Football Operations Center and Paulson Stadium Expansion, Armstrong State University's Liberty Center, and various infrastructure projects for the City of Richmond Hill, City of Statesboro, City of Savannah, Garden City, Development Authority of Bulloch County, Effingham County Industrial Development Authority and Town of Bluffton.
 
As Principal and Vice President, Mr. Chance will continue to serve as a Senior Civil Engineer for Hussey Gay Bell with new duties extending to include executive strategy development and execution and overall client management.

A licensed professional engineer holding registrations in Georgia and South Carolina, Mr. Chance holds a Bachelor of Science, Civil & Environmental Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.  Mr. Chance is a graduate of Leadership Savannah and Past President of American Society of Civil Engineers - Savannah Chapter.  Past and present volunteer and community commitments include:  Jenkins High School Business Education Advisory Council, Jenkins High School of Engineering, Boy Scouts of America Explorer Post Program, Woodville-TompkinsTechnical and Career High School and Johnson High School career development speaker and City of Statesboro Little League coaching.  Affiliations include American Society of Civil Engineers, American Council of Engineering Companies of Georgia and Society for American Military Engineers.  He attends Georgia Economic Development Association, SAME Savannah Post and GMA-related industry events.
 
Mr. Chance is a member of First Baptist Church Statesboro where he also serves as a Sunday School teacher and on various committees. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Evan, and their three children - Parker, Hunter, and Mason.
