Sublime beauty meets gorgeous amenities in Mariner Grove, a new urban luxury apartment community just 1.5 miles from Savannah’s historic district.

Conveniently located near several shopping corridors and a short drive to the islands including the beach at Tybee Island, Mariner Grove’s luxuriously-appointed units offer all of the convenience of downtown living without the parking hassles—and the added bonus of plenty of closet space.

Walk-in closets are only the beginning: Stainless steel appliances, full-size washer and dryers and hardwood floors round out the sumptuous spaces, all arranged generously under nine-foot ceilings.

The thoughtful design extends to the state-of-the-art fitness center, resort-style pool with tanning ledge and grilling area, business hub and conference room. The design also accommodates a variety of Savannah-friendly hobbies via a bicycle service station and a dog park.

Surrounded by century-old trees, Mariner Grove offers the upper echelon of modern life within the authentic, moss-draped ambience that has made Savannah famous.

“The mature live oaks are what make the site and one of the reasons we love this particular piece of land,” says Ian Smith, a principal of Mariner Group, which along with Brand Properties are the project’s developers.

“The live oak trees are recognized world wide as iconic to Savannah, and it was important to us to not only save them but showcase them.”

Gordon Denney, Director of the Park and Tree Department for the City of Savannah praised the developers saying, “When I looked at the concept and proposal it was probably the best plan I had seen. It took into account the existing mature trees and they worked the best they could to preserve the trees worthy of preserving.”

Mariner Grove tapped local Savannah companies, Thomas and Hutton for engineering work and contracting company Choate Construction to oversee the development and deliver the creation from the blueprint.

“Choate is extremely excited to be a part of the team assembled for the Mariner Grove project in Savannah,” says Ben Bunyard, Division Manager for Choate Construction Company.

“Our goal is to be good stewards of the owner’s investment, considerate neighbors of the existing community, and deliver a high quality facility for the end users enjoyment.”

Layout options include studios, one-bedroom and two-bedrooms. Initial rents are expected to range from $1,000 to $1600.

The $41 million project is expected to be complete by October 2016.
