Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Friday, September 11th, 2015

The Savannah Sports Council launched a redesigned Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run website and logo today and is now taking registrations for the 2015 race to be held Saturday, Dec. 5.

Other changes for the 2015 race include medals for all races, a new finish line location, an enhanced post-race party in Franklin Square and a bigger health and wellness expo.

“With the recent rebranding of Enmarket, the time was right for us to redesign the branding of the event while also making a few changes to the race weekend to make it even bigger, better and bolder,” said Ben Wilder, Savannah Sports Council director.

Each year more than 5,000 participants run and walk the 5K, 10K and Double Pump (a 5K and 10K combined) over Savannah’s Talmadge Bridge. In its 25th year, the 2015 race weekend will begin with the Health and Wellness Expo at the Savannah Civic Center on Friday, Dec. 4 and end with a post-race party in Franklin Square on race day.

A portion of race proceeds benefit Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St. Joseph’s/Candler. To register for the race, visit www.SavannahBridgeRun.com. For more information, contact Jonathan Sykes, Savannah Sports Council event manager at 912.644.6452 or [email protected].
