The Savannah Community Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce a grant from the John Cardinal Wright Fund to the Live Oak Public Libraries Foundation, Inc. in the amount of nearly $90,000.

The Wright Fund was created by a donation to the Community Foundation under the Will of Maurice Adelman, Jr. to help support the public library system serving Chatham, Effingham and Liberty counties.  In particular, the distribution is to assist in the dynamic expansion of educational and reference resources within the library’s collections.  Thanks to Mr. Adelman’s foresight in establishing the Fund as an endowment, the Community Foundation anticipates making annual future grants to the Library Foundation in perpetuity.

Ms. Christy Divine, Manager of the Library Foundation commented, “We are thrilled to learn of Mr. Adelman’s generosity to the library system and the many customers it serves.  His gift will enable us to build on our existing resources and look toward the future.”
