County Commissioners Vote to Demerge Police Department

Chatham County Commissioners have ended talks with the city for a merged police department. Now county leaders plan to create their own police department.
In a five to four decision the Chatham County Commissioners voted to end negotiations with the city. The county says they're done negotiating and now it's time to move forward.
