43rd First Friday Art March on November 6th

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015

Enjoy the arts, culture, food, and fashion of Savannah’s Starland Arts District during Art Rise Savannah’s 43rd First Friday Art March. This month we have a record breaking 26 locations as well as the free art trolley, kids activities, and outdoor performances throughout the district from 6PM to 9PM, rain or shine, on November 6th.

November’s entertainment at the Starland Arts Festival on 41st and Drayton Street includes the Stardust Pixxies, a ensemble of dancers and performers depicting the four elements in a 45 minute show featuring original choreography and music from DJ ObamabO. Local bands Miquel Mooré, San Soma, and Hippie and Punks will also be playing on Friday night next to a lineup of local vendors and artisans.

November’s First Friday Art March also features an after party at the Florence starting at 9pm. Bring your Art March map with four signed locations to get special deals on pizzas, moretti beers, and a special $6 Art March punch all night long.

Rain Plan: In the unfortunate event of heavy rain, Art Rise Savannah may have to cancel some of our activities. Stay tuned to our social media for up to date information. All locations will be open and the trolley will continue to run.

Uber Rides: Uber, the taxi of the future, has generously provided discounts to first time Uber takers and Art March participants. When signing up for the app enter the promo code: ARTMARCH to receive up to $20 of driving.

Sponsors for the Art March include: Old Savannah Tours, Starlandia Supply, Connect Savannah, Well Fed Magazine, One West Victory, 13 Bricks Clothing, La Voz Latina, Paprika Southern, Tour Buddy, Brighter Day Natural Foods, Dollhouse Productions, and all of Art Rise Savannah’s members.
