Armstrong State University has been designated a 2016 STEM Jobs Approved College by Victory Media and will be featured in the Winter 2016 issue of STEM Jobs magazine.

The list is the only of its kind to rate universities, colleges, community colleges and trade schools on their responsiveness and relevance to high-demand, high-growth science, technology, engineering and mathematics occupations.

“This is the second consecutive year that the College of Science and Technology has been awarded this designation,” notes Dr. Brent Feske, the associate dean of Armstrong’s College of Science and Technology. “This is an affirmation of our strong STEM coursework that allows our students to effectively transition with their degree from Armstrong to their next career step.”

Institutions were scored on publicly available data and responses to questions around four key indicators that demonstrate the extent to which a university works to provide opportunities for students to explore STEM subjects, promote partnerships fostering STEM literacy and promote STEM programs that actively attract and engage under-represented student populations.
