In an effort to communicate the practicality of its unique power boom skid steer design with safe side, entry JCB has produced and released a video across their social media channels (You Tube, Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus) to highlight the company’s common sense design in a comical, memorable way. While competitive machines require operators to climb in from the front, with a JCB operators step in from the side just as they would any other piece of equipment.

“We are constantly looking for unique ways to communicate JCB product attributes,” states Thom Peebles, Vice President of Marketing for JCB North America. “This video serves as an entertaining way to highlight our safe, side-door entry, a feature made possible through JCB’s single power boom design.”

The new video will be used globally to promote JCB Skid Steers, but was filmed in Savannah due to the willingness of two local homeowners, Debbie Treanor and Jane Olson of Autumn Lakes, and the Isle of Hope Elementary School, all of whom allowed access to their respective properties to shoot the video. JC Lewis Ford donated two trucks for use during the filming, and Parsons Inc., the group providing Program Management Services for construction at the new Isle of Hope School, was extremely helpful by providing a dedicated area on an active worksite in which to safely film.

“This project was a cooperative effort between a team of JCB employees and vendors from around the world.  In the end, it was the local help received from the Savannah community that made it possible to bring this video from concept to a finished product. To date it has gone viral, reaching more than 1,100,000 people in North America alone,” said Jennifer Stiansen, Marketing Communications Manager for JCB North America.
