Junior Achievement of Georgia-Coastal Region is pleased to announce the names of the laureates for the 16th annual Savannah Business Hall of Fame being held on Tuesday, November 10, at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. This year’s honorees are Mr. Curtis Lewis, III, along with Dr. Michael and Mrs. Linda Zoller.

Junior Achievement, along with Colonial Group, Inc. will host this year’s Savannah Business Hall of Fame where inductees will be honored for their business accomplishments as well as their extensive contributions to the community.

A well known community servant, Dr. Zoller is one of Savannah’s premiere physicians who is highly respected in his field. As former chairman of the United Way of the Coastal Empire and president of the Savannah Jewish Foundation, he is responsible for building relationships within the community. Linda has been a tireless advocate for citizens in our area, being one of the founders of the Ronald McDonald House as well as serving as chairman of the Youth Futures Authority, a state legislated authority that recognizes the importance of early childhood development and addresses issues relevant to families, youth, and children in our community.

Curtis Lewis, III, a national business leader, has practiced law for more than 30 years here in Savannah, and is currently president of Lewis Enterprises. He has been appointed to and served in significant leadership roles throughout the city, including chair of the boards of Union Mission and Memorial Health. An advocate for affordable healthcare for all, Lewis was instrumental in starting both the J.C. Lewis Primary Health Center and the J.C., Nancy Lewis Cancer Center at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital, and most recently the J.C. Lewis Primary Health Care Pediatric Center.

According to Johnathon Barrett, vice president of JA of Georgia, this event provides students with a representation of what it takes to be successful.

“The commitment to their community and ability to inspire are just a few things these inductees show our children and is a large part of being successful,” he said. “I think our inductees show great passion in what they do, leaving a positive impression on the lives of young people.”

The Savannah Business Hall of Fame is Savannah’s premier black tie business event. The gala will be held at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center on Tuesday, November 10, beginning at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception, featuring an upscale silent auction. A three-course dinner and the awards ceremony will follow. The evening will culminate with a champagne toast to the inductees who will be honored. More than 500 guests are slated to attend the event.
