HunterMaclean, a leading business law firm with offices in Savannah and Brunswick, recently welcomed Jonathan A. Porter, an associate in HunterMaclean’s business litigation group, and Nicole L. Pope, an associate in the corporate law practice.

Jonathan Porter earned his Juris Doctor degree, with honors, in May 2015 from Emory University School of Law, where he served as an articles editor for the Emory Law Journal. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Furman University and a Master of Public Administration in public management from Georgia Southern University.

Prior to joining HunterMaclean, Porter served as a clerk for Chief Judge John Ellington at the Georgia Court of Appeals in Atlanta and completed a legal externship in Governor Nathan Deal’s Office of Executive Counsel. Porter served as a summer associate at HunterMaclean and also at Parker, Poe, Adams & Bernstein LLP in Columbia, S.C. Porter is a member of the Telfair Museum of Art William Jay Society, the Historic Savannah Foundation 13^th Colony, and the Propeller Club of the United States Port of Savannah Chapter. He serves on the Community Council for the Savannah Technical College Foundation.

Nicole Pope earned her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Georgia, where she graduated with honors in May 2015. While in law school, she served as the executive editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. She received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Georgia Southern University in 2012.

As a registered mediator in the state of Georgia, Pope has mediated cases in Athens/Clark County Magistrate Court. Pope participated in the HunterMaclean summer associate program and completed an externship at the Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Ga. She is a member of the Telfair Museum of Art William Jay Society and the Historic Savannah Foundation 13^th Colony.
