WHAT: An Evening of Baroque. The Savannah Philharmonic’s “An Evening of Baroque: Handel, Bach, & Vivaldi” concert features Vivaldi’s Gloria in collaboration with the Savannah Children’s Choir and alumni soloists in honor of their 10th anniversary season. The Philharmonic Chorus, with local soprano Heidi Bindhammer and baritone Russell Watkins, present Bach’s Cantata No. 192 “Nun danket alle Gott.” Savannah Philharmonic musicians are the featured soloists in Marcello’s Oboe Concerto and Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. Major funding for the Savannah Philharmonic is provided by the City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs. Contributing sponsors are Austin Hill Realty and Coastal Dentistry. Soloist sponsor is Harkleroad Diamonds & Fine Jewelry.
