The Steward Center for Palliative Care is partnering with Landmark Specialty Hospital to provide palliative care within Landmark’s long-term, acute care hospital.

“I am very excited about our partnership with Landmark as it improves the quality of care provided for seriously ill patients in this community. For example, it allows patients to have successful outcomes after rehab, after being on a ventilator or after having had long-term antibiotic therapy,” says Laura Farless, MD, FAAHPM, physician with The Steward Center for Palliative Care.  “We follow the patient’s care during hospital stays, and after discharge we can provide outpatient services for continued help with pain management and other symptoms.  Our team will also assist in transitioning patients to home health care or hospice care when needed.”
