United Way of the Coastal Empire Receives $2.7M from Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation presented a $2.7 million gift to United Way of the Coastal Empire in support of its fundraising campaign. Gulfstream’s total contribution to United Way consists of the employee pledges and corporate commitment.

United Way President and CEO Gregg Schroeder accepted the check and thanked Gulfstream and thousands of its employees for their continued support and generosity.  “Gulfstream’s donation will go a long way in helping improve thousands of lives in our community,” said Schroeder.  “We’re grateful to have Gulfstream as a partner and a model corporate citizen.”

Gulfstream’s generous support will help United Way continue investing in critical programs in Education and Youth Development, Economic Independence, and Health and Wellness. United Way funds nearly 100 programs and services at 54 agencies in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham and Liberty Counties. 

The goal of this year’s United Way fundraising campaign is $9 million.  To date, United Way has raised $7,545,334 or 84% of goal.  The results will be announced at the Victory Celebration on Friday, November 20th at 11:45 am at Hyatt Regency Savannah.  The event is open to the public.  Tickets are $25 per person or $250 for a table of 10.
