Visit Savannah recently entered into a one-year agreement with VVV Global Marketing for representation within the U.K. and Ireland to promote travel to Savannah. Over the past several years, Savannah has seen double-digit growth from this region, with approximately 10 percent of all visitation coming from international markets as a whole.

“Adding our first international sales office is a huge step in marketing Savannah globally, said Joseph Marinelli, Visit Savannah president. “Sales missions to Canada, Europe, South America, Asia and Australia over the last eight years have built a customer base that is now very reflective of Savannah’s overall visitor mix.  Every day, more tourists from foreign countries visit our community and spread the good word about their experience when they return home.”

VVV Global Marketing will work in partnership with Visit Savannah to make sales calls to travel agents in the U.K. and Ireland, as well as attend key industry trade shows and execute some in-market marketing.

“This partnership comes at an exciting time, especially with a combined new air service between Delta Airlines and Virgin Atlantic from the U.K. via Atlanta to Savannah,” said Jo Piani, director of U.K. and Ireland for VVV Global Marketing. “We look forward to working with the team at Visit Savannah to market the destination to prospective visitors and groups from the U.K. and Ireland and to create more overall awareness of this beautiful and historic city.”
