Governor Nathan Deal recently appointed Kevin Jackson, president and CEO of EnviroVac, to its Board of Directors. As part of the Board, Jackson will work to raise educational funding, particularly for the pre-K program and the HOPE Scholarship.

“Since its inception, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has transferred more than $17 billion to the State Treasury’s Lottery for Education Account,” Jackson said. “I am honored to be a part of an organization that continues to make a difference in the education of Georgia’s youth.”

Jackson started EnviroVac in 1998. Today, the 600-employee company is recognized as the Southeastern United States’ premier provider of industrial cleaning, environmental services and on-site maintenance support programs.

In addition to his position with the Georgia Lottery Corporation, Jackson also sits on the boards of United Community Bank, Bethesda Academy and the Savannah Economic Development Authority, and the Southeastern Board of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He works with several philanthropic organizations including PDK Wounded Warriors, the Leukemia Society, First Tee, and the Paralympic Games.

Jackson earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia, where he was a three-year letterman on the 1980 national championship football team. He also was a starter on the 1982 championship team and an graduate assistant under Coach Vince Dooley when UGA won the Cotton Bowl. He and his wife, Libby, have three children and reside in Savannah.
