Art Rise Savannah is excited to announce its renewed partnership with MusicFile Productions for the 6th Annual Savannah Stopover Music Festival Poster Competition. With 100 bands scheduled to play at venues throughout Historic Downtown Savannah March 10th-12th, 2016, the Stopover Poster Competition brings together the best of Savannah’s arts and music scenes.

Art Rise Savannah invites graphic and visual artists from Savannah and around the country to create posters inspired by the individual bands taking part in Savannah Stopover 2016. Submitting a poster is easy, free, and can be completed online at Art Rise Savannah’s website. Artists are invited to choose a band from the confirmed lineup  at [http://www.savannahstopover.com/lineup] and create a poster using the specifications outlined below. (Please note, additional bands, including all local Savannah bands will be announced on January 19th, 2016). Ten posters will be chosen as  finalists and will be featured at an exhibition during Savannah Stopover  Music Festival on March 10th. These 10 posters will also be available for order at the  Stopover Headquarters during the festival.

Posters will be juried by a panel of local artists, graphic designers, and the organizers of Savannah Stopover. Semi-Finalists will be announced on March 1st, and released to the public to vote for the top three. The winning posters will be announced during a reception on March 10th at the Opening Night Event of the Festival at Ships of The Sea’s North Garden.

Last year’s winning posters were designed by Alex Wagner, Caleb Williamson, and Ryan Howard. The top ten posters from 2015 can be viewed online at artrisesavannah.org/stopover.
