The Georgia Southern Business Innovation Group will host the SBDC StartSmart, a program of the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center, Feb. 9 – March 1, at the Georgia Southern University City Campus, 58 E Main St. in Statesboro.

SBDC StartSmart is a four-week intensive program (Tuesdays, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.), geared toward aspiring entrepreneurs wanting to launch a new business in today’s challenging economy. Designed specifically for new entrepreneurs, the SBDC StartSmart program provides the resources and support to launch a company. During the program, entrepreneurs learn to evaluate and implement their vision by creating a thorough, well-researched business plan. Topics covered will include foundations for a successful business, marketing, operations, finances and implementation.
