Additions to the 2016 Savannah Music Festival lineup will be announced on February 6 at Southbound Brewing Company. The event includes a concert by SMF favorites the Steep Canyon Rangers, and beer samplings including Rollin’ & Stumblin’, a limited release double IPA and the big brother to the popular festival IPA debuted by Southbound in 2015. The original Rollin’ & Tumblin’ IPA will be released in cans and on draft throughout Savannah during the 2016 festival season. Tickets to this event go on sale Friday, January 8 at 10am at savannahmusicfestival.org, 912.525.5050 and the Savannah Box Office. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 day of show and include concert admission, a souvenir pint glass and Southbound Brewing Company beer samplings. The first 50 attendees through the door will go home with a 22 oz. bottle of the limited release of Rollin’ & Stumblin’. Doors open at 7:30pm and the music begins at 8pm. A food truck operated by the Gaslight Group will also be vending on site. Parking is available in the Great Dane parking lot on the northeast corner of East Lathrop and West Bay St., across the street from the brewery (107 E. Lathrop). This event is 21+.

Asheville bluegrass/Americana band the Steep Canyon Rangers have performed to sold-out crowds at two previous Savannah Music Festivals, and have spent recent years touring with comedian/banjo player Steve Martin and esteemed singer-songwriter Edie Brickell. The Grammy Award-winning band consists of Woody Platt on guitar and lead vocals, Graham Sharp on banjo, Charles R. Humphrey III on bass, Mike Guggino on mandolin, Nicky Sanders on fiddle and Mike Ashworth on percussion. The Steep Canyon Rangers are “holding fast to bluegrass roots but refusing to do what some hard-liners maintain passes for tradition.” (The Tennessean).
