The 2nd Annual Sporting Clay Shoot hosted by Construction Angels, Inc will be held at The Forest City Gun Club, on Saturday, March 12th, 2016. Construction Angels is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit charity that provides immediate financial assistance to the spouse and children left behind after a construction worker has lost their life on a job site, and grief counseling to family and co-workers. They also offer construction safety information and resources, as well as raise awareness of construction fatalities in the United States. Construction Angels is proud to have Hospice Savannah as their Grief Counseling Affiliate in Georgia, who provides grief counseling to the families and coworkers that have a hard time dealing with this type of tragedy.Statistics show that 796 construction workers lost their lives in the US while on a construction jobsite in 2013; 70 lives in Georgia alone.

“Construction Angels are the ‘First Responders’ to aid the construction families when there is a fatality on a construction jobsite, so please contact our charity immediately so we can begin assisting the family in their time of need. We would like to have the support of all Construction Associations throughout Georgiafor their members and construction workers,” said Sharon Dressler, Director of Construction Angels, Inc.

The charityhas expanded rapidly in Florida since they began their mission in 2011 with the help of several Construction Associations such as: Associated General Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter, National Association of Women in Construction Savannah, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Broward & Miami Chapters, Florida Transportation Builders’ Association, National Underground Contractors Association, etc. Their success in assisting families throughout Florida has led them to expand into Georgia, and also Ohio. Fundraising is critical to their success, and the charity plans on growing to a national level with support from all states. In Georgia, NAWIC Savannah, YMCA and Hospice Savannah are already on board and supporting the cause. Funds raised in GA will benefit the families within the State of Georgia.

“All proceeds from the 2nd Annual Construction Angels Sporting Clay Shoot will directly benefit construction workers’ familiesin Georgia. Our charity has already provided over $15,000 to the spouses and children left behind of several fallen construction workers. Many of these hard workers live paycheck to paycheck, and inmany cases, the wife is left alone with her children worrying about how the family will now survive without the help of her recently deceased husband. We are counting on our construction companies to participate for a much needed cause,” said Kristi Ronyak, President and Founder of Construction Angels, Inc.
