The Gaslight Group, an award-winning collection of distinguished independent restaurants and bars owned by Brian and Jennifer Huskey, recently hired Aaron Cradduck as general manager of B. Matthews Eatery located on 325 E. Bay Street.

In his position, Cradduck is responsible for sustaining operations by determining and implementing system policies and improvements by monitoring and evaluating food, beverage, and service offerings. In addition, Cradduck continually maintains his professional and technical knowledge of the restaurant industry by tracking emerging trends, establishing personal networks, and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.

Prior to joining B. Matthews, Cradduck worked as a bartender and door security at Abe’s on Lincoln, a sister restaurant within the Gaslight Group.  Previously, Cradduck was with ZAX, Inc., “Zaxby’s”, as their area development manager where he oversaw 10-12 restaurants and respective management teams, as well as over 400 employees. Through his six years at Zaxby’s, Cradduck helped to open new locations for the restaurant chain from the ground up, while working with construction and IT teams in order to develop systems in the new locations.

A native of Lake Leelanau, Mich., Cradduck is a graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics. Cradduck is active in the community and has contributed to multiple projects with Habitat for Humanity and the Savannah Food & Wine Festival. He is a current resident on Savannah’s Southside.
