Restoration Worship Center Groundbreaking Ceremony

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Tuesday, February 9th, 2016

Please join the Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce, Richmond Hill Mayor Harold Fowler and other guests for the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the new Restoration Worship Center, on Thursday, February 11, 2016. The groundbreaking ceremony will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by light refreshments on site at 7446 US Highway 17 South, Richmond Hill.

Restoration Worship Center is a non-denominational and non-traditional church located here in Richmond Hill.  Pastor Quiller and his wife Johnnie along with their two sons, Joshua, Justus, and 11 other faithful members opened the doors of Restoration Worship Center on April 4, 2011.  For nearly five years Restoration Worship Center has been renting a facility in Richmond Hill, GA.  However, the current arrangement limits the opportunity for special events, parking, adequate signage, and growth.

In January 2013, Pastor Hubert Quiller cast the vision for the new sanctuary and the building campaign began.  In October 2014, Restoration Worship Center with support from Quiller Ministries, Inc. stepped out on faith and acquired 8.9 areas in Richmond Hill at 7446 US Highway 17 South just 3 miles from its current meeting location.  After researching alternative building types, one company emerged as a quick, cost-effective, high-tech solution: Sprung Structures.   The Sprung Structure offers a revolutionary approach to architecture with its dome-like shape and clear-span interior.  Another benefit of a Sprung Structure is that it can be erected in a dramatically shorter period of time than conventional construction meaning the church can open as an entirely functional facility much faster to accommodate growth in attendance.

The Sprung building will offer a 298 seat sanctuary with a skylight to encourage upbeat fellowship with supporting areas for offices and classrooms.  Aside from being eye-catching and space-efficient, the rounded shape offers excellent acoustics and a highly energy efficient insulation system that helps reduce energy costs. “With its 30-foot peak it almost has a cathedral-like appearance” said Johnnie Quiller, Executive Administrator, and Pastor’s wife.
"We know our new facility will be different in every respect, but it represents our personality. It represents who we are... at first glance, the new facility may look more like a revival tent than a permanent place of worship;  but, inside it will be a warm, comfortable sanctuary where visitors, members, and friends of the church will praise and worship God!” said Pastor Hubert Quiller.

The church’s Pastor is Hubert Quiller a retired Army veteran who has been given the vision by God to rescue the unsaved, restore the unjust, and release believers into the body of Christ.  The church’s slogan is “Reaching beyond the Break.”
