Locally owned and operated ExperCare Urgent Care is now open in Savannah and providing a full-range of medical and occupational health services to patients of every age. The brand new, 4,000 square foot, state of the art medical facility offers digital x-ray and is conveniently located next to Dick’s Sporting Goods at 318 Mall Boulevard.

The only urgent care facility in this area to be certified by the Urgent Care Association of America, ExperCare opens daily at 8AM, seven days a week, and no appointment is ever necessary. ExperCare accepts TriCare and is in-network with all major insurance companies, which makes a visit as simple as a co-pay. For those without insurance, ExperCare offers affordable self-pay rates.

“We are looking forward to providing the Savannah community with exceptional medical care and outstanding customer service that we have offered since we opened our first location in Richmond Hill in 2009,” explained Savannah native Catherine Corish Grant, one of the founding partners. This is the second area location for ExperCare, which Grant co-founded in 2009 as The Urgent Care Center of Richmond Hill with partners Lori B. Gaylor, and Robert A. Mazur, MD. ExperCare’s Richmond Hill location is in the Kroger Shopping Center at 60 Exchange Street and continues to offer exceptional health care and customer service.

ExperCare offers a unique ZipPass option to expedite any potential wait.  Patient's can go to our website and select a time to come in the same day to be seen.  “We know that everyone’s time is valuable and we treat patients of all ages and from all walks of life. That is why we offer ZipPass and make every visit efficient as possible,” Gaylor said.

“Since we are locally owned, we understand the community and are personally invested and committed to its total wellbeing,” Grant said. ExperCare is fully staffed 7 days a week and the medical staff provides more than urgent care, offering a broad range of services from physicals and wellness checks, to treating coughs, colds and flu, many vaccinations, and providing x-rays, lab tests, stitches, EKGs, Occupational Medicine, and MORE.

Area employers can also benefit from access to experienced, knowledgeable Occupational Health providers, thanks to the recent addition of J. David Carson, M.D. as Director of Occupational Medicine and Associate Medical Director. A Savannah native, Dr. Carson focuses on the wellness of the patient and rendering quality medical care that maximizes rapid recovery and minimizes time away from work. “Dr. Carson has a highly respected reputation in Occupational Medicine, a field which requires doing what’s best for the patient while also interacting with their employer for the best possible outcome,” according to Grant.

As far as other medical staff, ExperCare has hired an additional 20 employees to help serve the new Savannah location.  Doctors and staff will rotate between the two locations, so that patients will continue to see the familiar faces they know and trust.

Grant noted that, “these are exciting times as we can further grow our circle of expertise and care. We are fortunate and thankful to be living and working in the communities we serve.”
