Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016

Senior Citizens, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people age successfully, will continue its annual blanket drive through February 29, 2016. Thanks to the generosity of the Savannah community, SCI has donated 319 blankets to seniors so far this year to help them stay warm this winter season. Blankets will continue to be collected via donations at SCI’s headquarters, WSAV-TV, and at various drop locations throughout The Landings. Cash donations to help purchase blankets are also being collected at SCI’s headquarters located at 3025 Bull St. in Savannah.

Seniors in need of an extra blanket this winter season can pick one up at SCI’s headquarters at 3025 Bull Street from 8:30 a.m. to 5 pm. Please bring photo ID and proof of income (low income applicants only, please).

“Georgia Natural Gas is proud to be the presenting sponsor of Senior Citizens, Inc.’s Annual Blanket Drive,” says Maurice Baker, manager of community relations at Georgia Natural Gas. “We have a strong commitment to the seniors of Georgia and their families and caregivers.
