STF Announced 2016 Board of Directors

At the annual meeting on January 15, the Savannah Tree Foundation announced its 2016 Board of Directors. The STF Board of Directors supports the organization in fulfilling its mission to preserve, protect, and plant trees across Chatham County.

Josh Ward joins the STF Board for the first time. Josh is the design principal with Ward Architecture and is active in the Savannah community. He will work with the Tree Foundation on their advocacy and education efforts.

The 2016 Board also reappointed its officers. Dolores Engle will serve her second term as president. Dolores actively volunteers in the community including serving on the City of Savannah Park and Tree Commission. Gail Knopf serves as vice-president. Gail brings her background in horticulture to the organization and helps drive the educational efforts. David Breithaupt is the Savannah Tree Foundation’s treasurer. David is a retired businessman who has led STF through the last few years of financial growth. Kim Murray serves as secretary. Kim is a long-time board member who helps lead development and outreach.

Patty Jensen of Gulfstream Aerospace agreed to serve as an advisor to the organization. Patty previously served as a board member and continues her support long-term as an advisor.
