The Greenery, Inc. launched a large landscape makeover as a gift to the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina valued at over $50,000 on Thursday, Feb. 25. Over 90 employees from all departments of The Greenery worked together landscaping, mulching, irrigating and laying sod at the Arts Center in this “fast track landscaping event.”

Each year, The Greenery seeks a project to “Give Back” to the communities they serve. It’s part of their commitment as an employee owned company and to their community. Previous projects have been completed in Bluffton and Beaufort.

“The Arts Center is kind of an iconic organization here on Hilton Head,” said Lee Edwards, CEO of The Greenery. “The first thing you see when you pull up is the landscape and it was a little old, tired and really needed it. It was something we could make a high impact on….and make a big difference.”

Other products and services were donated by The Greenery’s business partners including: tree services by Tree Wiseman and All Care Tree, sod from Green Acres Turf Farm, palm trees from Green Goods, mulch from National Wood Sourcing and dumpsters from Republic Waste.

Kathleen Bateson, President/CEO of the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina shared her appreciation saying that the employees of the Arts Center were “overwhelmed with joy” at the generosity of The Greenery.

“More gratitude than our hearts can express for what you have done for us in making this a beautiful, beautiful place,” said Bateson.
