H&E Equipment Services Inc. opened a new branch in Savannah on Feb. 22 at 49 Artley Road to give it a total of 77 branches nationwide, including in Atlanta, Charleston and Jacksonville.

The company said the new branch will provide full-service coverage to customers in eastern Georgia and southern South Carolina with a 12,500-square-foot facility that sits on 3 acres with a fully-fenced and paved yard area, offices, parts warehouse and a three-bay repair shop.

The Savannah branch specializes in aerial lifts, telescopic forklifts, earthmoving, and general construction equipment, the company said.

“With economic recovery and growth in the industrial, tourism, port authority and military sectors, we see tremendous opportunity to serve equipment customers in Savannah with our unique full-service approach to this business,” said branch manager Joseph Sheffield. “This is our first step, but we have plans to move forward with a large design-build facility within the next two years.
