The Annual Good Scout Luncheon to benefit Boy Scout programs in twenty-two counties throughout southeastern Georgia will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 11:45am-1:00pm at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum.

At this luncheon, the Coastal Georgia Council Boy Scouts of America will highlight and honor the good works of two individuals who have helped contribute to the success of the youth in our service area.  Mayor Eddie DeLoach will be the Good Scout Award honoree. The Good Scout Award is presented each year to one local citizen who best exemplifies the goals, traditions, and values of Scouting through their community service, as evidenced by their leadership and interests within the local community, and for their embodiment of the values of the century-old Scout Oath and Law in their personal and professional lives. The second award, the ‘Outstanding Eagle,’  will be presented to Mr. Thomas James. This is a prestigious national award of recognition granted by the local council’s National Eagle Scout Association committee to an Eagle Scout who has demonstrated outstanding achievement at the local, state, or regional level.
