NAWIC Observes Women in Construction Week March 6th-12th With a Kick Off Breakfast

Coastal Georgia National Association of Women in Construction will celebrate Women in Construction Week March 6-12, 2016. NAWIC’s mission is to enhance the success of women in the construction industry.

The focus of WIC Week is to highlight women as a visible component of the construction industry. It is also a time for local chapters to give back to their communities. WIC Week provides an occasion for NAWIC’s thousands of members across the country to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry.

Monday, March 7, 2016:  Kick Off Breakfast at Funky Brunch Café at 304 E Broughton Street at 8:00 AM for $10/person.  Savannah Tech’s Executive Director, Gail Eubanks, and Drafting Department Head, Rachel Gruic, will be in attendance to speak about how NAWIC has helped their students.  Windsor Forrest Principal, Derrick Butler, and Construction Program Teacher, Andre Perry, will attend and accept $500 donation for their Construction Department.  City of Savannah Letter of Acknowledgement will be presented.
