Savannah's 4th Annual Man & Woman of the Year Campaign Kicks off March 3rd

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Tuesday, March 1st, 2016

Each year, in communities across the country, dynamic and passionate candidates engage in a spirited 10-week fundraising competition to earn The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Man & Woman of the Year" titles by raising funds for blood cancer research. The fourth annual Savannah campaign kicks off next Thursday and will culminate with the Grand Finale Gala on Friday, May 13th at Savannah Station.

The candidates are community and business leaders who are philanthropic, ambitious, socially active, resourceful and passionate about making a difference in the lives of people suffering from blood cancers. Their relentless ambition drives them to fundraise with remarkable results. This year's candidate class includes twelve outstanding members of the Savannah community who, as a team, aim to raise $400,000 in ten weeks to fight blood cancer.
