Service Brewing Co., a veteran-owned and operated brewery has presented a check for $2691.50 to the national charity, Stop Soldier Suicide, the first national civilian not-for-profit organization dedicated to preventing active duty and Veteran suicide.
Beginning with the release of their winter seasonal, Lincoln’s Gift Oyster Stout, SBC’s charitable focus for the last four months has been on raising funds and awareness for Stop Soldier Suicide.
“A lot of folks are not aware of these charities. Some are smaller than others, but it is important for us as a company to bring light to their cause and support them. The dedication they have for the men and women that serve our country and community is a valuable resource. A much needed resource.” mentions CEO and former Army Commander Kevin Ryan.
Each season, SBC dedicates their fundraising efforts to support local and national charities that give over ninety cents of every dollar donated to those benefiting from the charity. With the help and support of local artist, musicians, chefs and restaurants, each release party serves as a kick-off for fundraising efforts. Since July of 2014, when they launched the brewery, they have donated over $23,000 to organizations that support first responders and our service men and women.
