United WebWorks, a full-service web development and internet marketing provider, recently promoted Merrill Poor to marketing assistant.

In her position, Poor is responsible for creative content generation, including social media management and email campaigns.  In addition, she generates marketing reports as well as evaluates backlinks for websites of various clients.

Prior to being the marketing assistant at United WebWorks, Poor served as the marketing intern where she helped manage some of the same clients she works with today.  Previously, she worked as a student blogger for Saint Michael’s College in Winooski, Vt. and as a therapeutic alternative classroom intern.

Originally from N.H., Poor graduated from Saint Michael’s College with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as a minor in Sociology.  She was a member of Psi Chi (The Psychology National Honor Society) and the recipient of the Alumni Appreciation Award from the Founder’s Society at Saint Michael’s College.  In addition, Poor received the NUI Galway Presidential Award for Volunteering at the end of her semester abroad in Ireland.  Poor is set to begin volunteering at Chatham County Resource Conservation & Recycling Education Center and the Humane Society for Greater Savannah very soon. She currently resides in Savannah, GA.
