Yoga for Cancer Patients and Survivors

6:30 p.m., Tuesdays, and 12:45 p.m., Thursdays, FitnessOne, 3rd floor of the Memorial Outpatient and Wellness Center

These weekly yoga classes are free for cancer survivors and those in treatment. The classes help expand flexibility and balance while also providing relaxation. The instructor is Yoga Alliance registered with more than 200 hours of training, including specialized yoga training for cancer survivors at OM Yoga in New York. Bariatric Surgery Information Session

Prepared Childbirth Saturday Session

9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, April 9, Memorial University Medical Center

This full-day course gives an overview of reproductive anatomy and physiology and explains the process of labor and delivery in simple, easy-to-understand terms. It is designed for parents who live outside of Savannah or have schedules that make it difficult to attend weekday classes. This course includes a tour of the labor and delivery unit. Baby Basics

Head and Neck Cancer Support Group

One Masterful Evening

6 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., Thursday, April 21, Harborside Center, Hyatt Regency Savannah

Master Sommelier Frederick L. Dame will lead One Masterful Evening, a unique fundraising event that brings this international wine expert to Savannah for a reception and dinner at which he has chosen the wine pairings with each course. This event will help pay for eight pediatric oncology rooms in the Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children's Hospital of Savannah, slated to open in May 2017. Cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and dinner with matched wines. Tickets are $250 per person, or $2,250 for a table for 10. Head, Neck and Oral Cancer Screening

Caregiver Coffee

Basic Breastfeeding Class

6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday April 26, Memorial University Medical Center

This two-hour session is designed to educate and support the mother planning to breastfeed. Topics include information on preparing to breastfeed, basic breastfeeding concepts, nutrition, and a discussion of common concerns. Issues such as family support for the breastfeeding mother, the father’s role in feeding, and how to breastfeed and continue to work are also covered. Your support person is encouraged to attend.
