The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce is calling for nominations for its 2016 business awards, which will be presented to selected recipients at the Business Awards Banquet on Thursday, June 16. The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 15. To nominate, go to http://bit.ly/25wXkf8.  

Each year the Chamber honors businesses and individuals representing major sectors in the Savannah area’s economy – small business, industry and tourism. The awards include Entrepreneur of the Year; Environmental Excellence Award; Gulfstream Community Involvement Award; Helen V. Head Business Advocate Award; Hospitality Award; Manufacturer’s Safety Award; Small Business of the Year; and World Trade Center Savannah International Business of the Year.

The annual Business Awards Banquet will take place following the Chamber’s Business Expo, which runs from 3-7 p.m., at the Savannah Hilton DeSoto on June 16. Networking at the expo and banquet will be held during a cocktail reception from 5:30-7 p.m., and the banquet will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tickets are $50.
