Old Savannah Insurance Agency, a Georgia-based insurance firm with offices serving Chatham County and the surrounding communities, is working with the Old Savannah City Mission on a joint charity venture to provide for underprivileged and underserved families in the region.

The hundreds of volunteers offering time to the Old Savannah City Mission are committed to addressing not just the practical and material needs of underprivileged Savannah residents, but to their spiritual health as well. By offering food, shelter, counseling, and a friendly face, Old Savannah City Mission works to reverse growing trends of homelessness and hunger.

“The Old Savannah mission has been offering help to our friends and neighbors in need for years, and this charity drive will help make sure they are able to continue doing so,” says James Grusheski, owner and director of Old Savannah Insurance Agency.

To publicize the Old Savannah City Mission charity event, Grusheski and his team are working to establish a social media presence and send out email updates to concerned citizens in the community. In addition, the charity event will be featured in the next issue of “Our Hometown,” an online magazine produced monthly by Old Savannah Insurance: http://www.oldsavannahinsuranceagency.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_41.

Old Savannah Insurance has already assisted a dozen other Georgia charities and non-profits over the last two years, and the agency doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. As part of a permanent community involvement policy, Grusheski and his team remain committed to assisting another new Georgia charity every other month.
