Cornell McBride Sr. is currently CEO for McBride Research Laboratories, Inc., a marketing and sales company that markets and distributes a private line of hair care products sold through a network of independent exclusive distributors in the United States, the Caribbean, the United Kingdom and Africa.  McBride Research Laboratories develops Wave by Design, a permanent waving system, Design Essentials, Therapeutics RX and Colaura Color System.

CEO Cornell McBride, a native of Savannah, Georgia, attended Ft. Valley State College and received his Pharmacy degree from Mercer University.   Cornell McBride boasts memberships in the following organizations:  100 Black Men of Atlanta, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Leadership Atlanta and the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.  He was former board of director’s chair for the American Health and Beauty Aids Institute and formerly served on the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Board and First American Bank. 

Additionally, Mr. McBride authored A CUT ABOVE:  How Cornell McBride Made Millions in the Hair Care Biz.  It offers readers a first-hand account of the inner workings of his first company, M&M Products.  M&M Products Company introduced internationally known brands Sta-Sof-Fro, Curly Perm, Moxie and Sof’ N Free.  He is currently Developer of Grand Cayman Estates, an exclusive, gated community nestled amongst 150 acres of rolling hills and a glistening five-acre lake, in Rockdale County.

Mr. McBride has been married to the lovely Harriet for 52 years.  They presently have two sons, a daughter and seven grandchildren.

The event will be held on Saturday May 7, 2016, in the Banquet Center of the Temple of Glory, located at 1105 Stiles Avenue, at W. Gwinnett Street. Following the community education and issues forumís Annual Meeting at 10:00 AM, the reception-luncheon will follow at 11:30 AM. The coveted 2016 Washington-Walker Community Service Appreciation Award will also be presented.
