Mary Miltiades, rising senior at the University of South Carolina, was selected as Carriage Trade Public Relations, Inc. and Cecilia Russo Marketing, LLC’s intern for Summer 2016. Miltiades is working toward a degree in public relations with a minor in criminal justice.

“Carriage Trade Public Relations has grown tremendously over the past 21 years, and we are excited to teach Mary some of our techniques that will help her advance quickly in our industry,” said Marjorie Young, CEO and Founder of Carriage Trade Public Relations. “On the flip side, we are excited to see what new ideas Mary will bring to our team.”

Miltiades is a member of the Kappa Delta sorority and served as the parliamentarian her freshman year, taking attendance at chapter and assisting the secretary with her tasks.

With her sorority, Miltiades volunteers with the Girl Scouts of America, Prevent Child Abuse America, and Children’s Trust of South Carolina. She frequently donates to and volunteers at the Humane Society of Savannah.

In the past, Miltiades has volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House and served on their Teen Board for two years.

Miltiades said, “I am honored to get the opportunity to work with such successful companies and gain experience in my field.”

In her free time, Miltiades enjoys doing yoga at Savannah Power Yoga with her mom. She graduated from the Savannah Country Day School in 2010 and is daughter to Chris and Shari Miltiades.
