Golfing for a Cure Raises Nearly $65,000 for Cancer Care

The 12th Landings Women’s Golf Association “Golfing for a Cure” tournament raised $64,986.59 net for the Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute at Memorial University Medical Center.

The money raised will specifically support the LWGA Biospecimen Research Program, a CT Planning Scanner, Palliative Care, Intraoperative Radiation Therapy System and TrueBeam services, and the LWGA Summer Scholars Program.

The LWGA began its partnership with the ACI in 2004. Since then, it has raised $720,000 to benefit the Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute. Established in 1974, the LWGA with just under 500 members is the largest, club-based, amateur women’s golf organization.
