Seimitsu Corp., a Savannah-based IT services provider, has been named Georgia’s Family Owned Business of the Year by the Small Business Administration. The company, which has been operating since 1984, has an office in midtown Savannah and is owned by Seimitsu “Sam” and Cindy Cook. Seimitsu Corp. specializes in tailored business IT solutions, with offerings that include installation and maintenance, infrastructure services, voice solutions and surveillance systems.

The owners say the company’s success can be attributed, in part, to its pursuit of an innovative product line, which includes a recent foray into the installation of fiber cables throughout the metropolitan Savannah area.
