Senior Citizens, Inc.’s Roger Smith Accepted Into Rigorous Educational Program in Rhode Island June 3rd - 11th

Senior Citizens, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people age successfully, is pleased to announce Roger Smith, director of The Learning Center of Senior Citizens, Inc., has been accepted into the Victorian Society of America’s Newport Summer School.

The Victorian Society of America’s Newport Summer School is an intensive educational program focusing on architecture, decorative arts, and American history as articulated in the stories and built environment of Newport, Rhode Island.
 
“I look forward to this remarkable educational experience and am certain that what I learn will translate into one or more courses and lectures at The Learning Center,” said Smith, who is also a member of the Savannah chapter of the Victorian Society.
 
“This is a very competitive opportunity and  we are so proud of Roger’s accomplishment,” said Patti Lyons, President of SCI.
 
Fellow Savannahian and Learning Center member Nancy Welcher was also accepted into the Newport Summer School this year and will participate in the same educational experiences.
