BankSouth, a top performing community bank in the nation celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, recently hired Linda Rice as the branch manager of its midtown banking office in Savannah located at 200 Stephenson Ave. Suite 103, open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In her new position, Rice is responsible for executing all functions of the bank office including assisting customers with their personal and business banking needs, as well as providing customer service and business development support for BankSouth Mortgage.

Originally from Warren, Ark., Rice served within various leadership roles at a respected banking institution in Savannah for over 14 years and is also a licensed insurance agent. She earned an associate of arts degree in business administration from Saint Leo University and later completed specialized financial industry training from Bankers Academy. She also received certifications in business and internet banking, ACH Seminar and numerous other financial education certifications throughout her career.
