Coastal Heritage Society’s Old Fort Jackson and Pin Point Heritage Museum both received TripAdvisor’s 2016 Certificate of Excellence. These recognitions are given to museum sites to honor consistently great reviews from customers on the TripAdvisor platform.

"Old Fort Jackson is honored receive this this award,” said Brian Lee, Site Administrator at Old Fort Jackson. “It shows that our visitors value our programming and feel inspired to share their enjoyable experiences at the fort with the world."

“Pin Point Heritage Museum is also proud to receive this award,” said Tania Smith-Jones, Site Administrator at Pin Point Heritage Museum. “The site is a cultural legacy. We are very fortunate to have interpreters who lived the story and can tell the story to our visitors. This award wouldn't be possible if our guests didn't take the time to share their experiences.”

To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, a hospitality business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least twelve months.

This the fifth year Old Fort Jackson, the oldest standing brick fort in Georgia, has received this honor. It’s third year Pin Point Heritage Museum, which opened to the public in 2012 as a Gullah/Geechee educational center, has received the recognition. The certificate reflects the dedication to customer service and the visitor experience that distinguishes Coastal Heritage Society’s museums.
