JE Dunn Hires Thornton Mitchell as Project Engineer

JE Dunn Construction recently hired Thornton Mitchell as a project engineer. In that role, he will assist with preparing subcontracts, reviewing and submitting product submittals, preparing requests for information, coordinating with subcontractors on scope and schedules, and coordinating project schedules.

Prior to joining JE Dunn in Savannah, Mitchell worked as a project management intern at Landmark Construction Builders in Greensboro, N.C., where he oversaw safety requirements at the job site and assisted with job scheduling and installation of roofing, drywall and concrete. He also worked at Howard Grant Renovation Services in Woodland, N.C., and helped technicians with installing electrical wiring and inducting laminate flooring, kitchen tile and carpet.

Mitchell recently earned a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, N.C., where he was a member of Army ROTC. He also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and is a member of the Construction Management Association of America and the Associated General Contractors of America.
