Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Thursday, June 2nd, 2016

Ogeechee Riverkeeper is proud to announce the opening of their new office, located at 785 King George Blvd., Ste. 102 in Georgetown with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10am-11am with the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce. Guests will enjoy light snacks and a tour of the new office space that local interior designer, Alice Henrick with Provenance Interiors, helped with.

Executive Director and Riverkeeper, Emily Markesteyn and Watershed Outreach Coordinator, Jesse Demonbreun-Chapman will be on hand to share information about the organization’s advocacy and educational initiatives as well as plans for the future.

Markesteyn commented “We have come a long way in the eleven years as Ogeechee Riverkeeper, particularly since the devastating fish kill just five years ago, but there is still much work to do.  Our new office is in an affordable location close to the Bryan and Chatham County borders with good transport links to enable us to travel around the Ogeechee and Canoochee river basins and coastal waterways.”
