The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa is pleased to announce its role in donating 3319 pounds of food to Lowcountry Food Bank.

Thanks to The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa’s recent donation, more families in South Carolina are able to sit down to a nutritious meal than ever before. The resort’s recent donation of 3319 pounds of frozen items created 2766 meals for our lowcountry neighbors experiencing hunger.

Each day this summer, the Lowcountry Food Bank will provide fresh and healthy meals to over 1,700 children in the community. The Lowcountry Food Bank serves the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina and aims to distribute more than 24 million pounds of food each year.

Executive Chef, Ed Connors, commented, “Thanks in part to the recent Southeastern Frozen & Refrigerated Conference we were delighted to have the opportunity to make lives brighter, happier and healthier for hundreds of Lowcountry families. The Westin is committed to our community and efforts like these are just a piece of the puzzle. We’re just honored to be a part of this important mission.”
