Bethesda Academy Announces 2016-2017 Board of Governors Executive Officers, Newest Board Member

Bethesda Academy, an award-winning day and boarding school for boys in grades six through twelve, is pleased to announce the 2016-2017 Board of Governors executive officers and to welcome its newest board member. As members of Bethesda’s board, they are responsible for providing individual leadership and insight to aide in the strategic direction and overall health of the 275-year-old educational institution.

“Bethesda is honored to have such an outstanding group of community leaders to serve on our board and help further our mission to provide one of the best educations a young man can receive in our unique, holistic learning environment,” said Dr. Mike Hughes, president of Bethesda Academy.

Executive officers for 2016-2017 include the following:

Chairman – John Helmken, II, Georgia market president at South State Bank
Vice Chairman – J. Cliff McCurry, vice president at Seacrest Partners
Secretary – Jim Trolinger, president at Swagelok Northwest
Treasurer – Michael E. Viers, CEO of M.E. Viers & Associates, LLC

In addition, Bethesda Academy recently welcomed Dr. William T. Moore to its Board of Governors. Moore is a distinguished professor emeritus from the University of South Carolina.
