Blowin’ Smoke Southern Cantina Closing for Renovations July 25th

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Tuesday, July 12th, 2016

Blowin' Smoke Southern Cantina, a Gaslight Group restaurant located near Savannah’s Historic District at 1611 Habersham St., will be closing for renovations on Monday, July 25, 2016, for approximately two weeks.

The renovations will include the addition of one restroom; replacement of the existing slab to smooth and extend the foundation to allow for more seating space both inside and outside; and relocation of the main bar to the middle of the dining room to allow for more seating. To celebrate the completion of the space updates and renovations, Blowin’ Smoke will feature new cocktail and beer offerings upon reopening. The exact reopening date will be announced in early August.

“Luckily, the design constraints of the existing restaurant space has never detracted from our customers happy patronage,” said Brian Huskey, owner of Blowin’ Smoke and its sister restaurants under the Gaslight Group’s brand. “However, we believe with some strategic re-design and improved infrastructure, our friends will appreciate the enhanced space to enjoy their favorite Southwestern-inspired dishes, especially with the addition of the new, larger bar area.”

Seven days a week, Blowin' Smoke serves up in-house pecan-smoked BBQ,  tacos, salads, soups, creative cocktails and more, all with a Southwestern influence, and is the perfect spot to dine al fresco with friends (inside seating also available).
