Coastal Empire Beer Co Wins 2 US Open Beer Championship Bronze Medals

Coastal Empire Beer Co. of Savannah won 2 bronze medals in blind tastings earlier this month at the 2016 United States Open Beer Championship in Oxford, Ohio. More than 5,000 beers and ciders from over 20 countries competed to win in a number of different beer, cider and specialty categories.

Local brewery, Coastal Empire Beer Co. won a bronze medal for their ‘Dawn Patrol Imperial Molé Stout’ brand in the Chili Beer category.  This is the second time in 2 years that Dawn Patrol Imperial Molé Stout has medaled in an international beer competition as it also received a bronze medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2014 in the Herbed and Spiced Beer category.  White Caps Imperial White IPA was awarded a bronze medal in the Out of Bounds IPA category.  Since Coastal Empire Beer Co. released their first beer in August of 2011 it has received 7 medals in international competitions.  (7 U.S. Open, 1 GABF, 1 Best of Craft Beer Awards)
