Georgia Tech-Savannah will be offering a special course -- “Demand-Driven Supply Chain Strategy” -- for logistics companies interested in assessing their current supply chain strategy and implementing a demand-driven supply chain strategy. The four-day course, to be held August 23-26, 2016, will take place on the Georgia Tech-Savannah campus at 210 Technology Circle.

“Leading-edge supply chain and logistics practices are paramount in Georgia’s coastal region,” said Tim Brown, managing director of the Supply Chain & Logistics Institute. “With the fourth-largest seaport in the nation, the busiest U.S. port for the import of new vehicles, and the No. 2 U.S. port in total import-export trade, local businesses must continually evaluate and refine their strategies and procedures.”

This course, which provides the latest in supply chain best practices and includes real-life examples, site visits, and facility tours, is most appropriate for supply chain professionals, logistics professionals, material managers, production control managers, transportation managers, warehousing managers and purchasing managers. It is designed and taught by the Georgia Tech Supply Chain & Logistics Institute, the world’s largest supply chain and logistics research and education enterprise.

Cost of the course is $3,500. For more information or to register, visit pe.gatech.edu/savannah-campus/courses/supply-chain-logistics.
