August 5th First Friday Art March

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016

Join Art Rise Savannah and 17 of our favorite boutiques, galleries, and cafe’s for this month’s award winning First Friday Art March. Our 54th Art March will feature exhibition openings, live music at select locations, a free trolley to help you get around, and kids art activities at Starlandia Creative Supply.

Art Rise Savannah is also partnering with Friends of the Animals to present “Pups on Parade” a scavenger hunt featuring six statues of canines painted by well known local artists. Art March participants that find all six statues will be entered into a raffle to win two free tickets to the Friends of the Animals Annual Fundraiser “Bark-Out at the O-Kat Corral” on August 27th at Savannah Station. This year's artists include Patricia Elaine Sabree, Luba Lowry, Samantha Claar, Kerry Harried, Jerome Meadows, and Brian MacGregor. An additional dog painted by artist Tiffani Taylor will be on display at the Woof Gang Bakery in City Market. The canine statues will be viewable at their locations until August 20th.
