The Effingham Community Orchestra will hold its sixth annual Our Favorites concert and silent auction fundraiser Sunday at the county gymnasium on Ga. 119 in Springfield.

Silent auction bidding opens at 2:30 p.m. and the concert begins at 3 p.m.

Admission is free. The Effingham County Recreation and Parks gymnasium is at 808 Ga. 119 S. in Springfield.

The pieces that will be played were chosen by the musicians and include movie themes along with classical, rock and roll and jazz pieces.

The silent auction offers many items and gift certificates donated by local supporters, businesses and professionals. All proceeds go directly toward orchestra expenses.

Immediately following the concert, the winning ticket will be drawn for two one-day admission tickets to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., plus a $100 Visa card. Raffle tickets will be available at the door.

“I encourage everyone to come spend the afternoon with us and enjoy this really fun event,” said Director Andrea Huff. “There will absolutely be something for everyone!”
